As part of the action plan project, ACT Alberta launched a Human Trafficking Awareness: Training Challenge to expand Edmonton’s understanding of human trafficking in Canada. We challenged Edmonton service providers and the public to take the BC Office to Combat Human Trafficking in Persons’ (BCOCTIP) free, online training that provides a basic overview of human trafficking in Canada, including how to identify, support and refer trafficking cases.

Although the challenge is now over, BCOCTIP’s training is still available online. We want to thank everyone who participated and congratulate Boyle Street Community Services for winning the first place prize and CEASE for coming in second place.
