Camila Orozco

About Roxy’s

Camila had experience waiting tables in Oaxaca so pursued serving jobs first. A new friend suggested that Camila apply to Roxy's as they were looking for waitstaff. She'd eaten there before and took the friend's suggestion as an endorsement. She applied, making it clear that she would need help applying for a work permit, and was hired within the week.

Camila's training took place on the Roxy's lunch shift rotation and once she was trained up, she was scheduled for her first dinner and evening shift. The evening clientele were very different and much more forward. Camila could feel eyes trailing after her every move and the groups of men were not subtle about their interest in her. The first few shifts were difficult, but not radically different than her time in Oaxaca, so she decided that the work permit would be worth the trouble.

Two weeks in, Camila hadn't been paid and hadn't heard anything about her work permit application. She asked to speak to the boss and in a small, locked back room, he told her that she would have to provide him certain sexual favours for him to bother submitting the application. She'd need to prove to him that she was worth the investment, he said.

After that, Camila was hopeful it would never happen again and she'd get her pay and application. Yet her Visitor Visa's expiry date loomed closer and closer, so she had no choice but to ask the boss again. This time, he said he had the application written but to bother sending it in, she would need to prove herself again, this time with his best customer. Apparently he had requested her "services" from the boss for a hefty fee, none of which would be going to Camila. Feeling like she had no other option, the boss got what he wanted. Camila remained unpaid and with no permit updates for another 2 months, although the sexual "favours" kept being requested. Now she finds herself here in your agency.
