Survivor Inclusion Specialist

This position will require an individual who is able to jump in feet first, protect their personal boundaries, and work both independently and collaboratively with the Victim Services Team. As a survivor and peer support worker, this individual will have experiences and training in these areas and be able to support in providing front-line supports to clients.

This role’s focus is on building a survivor led and trauma-informed strategy to better include survivors in many aspects of ACT Alberta’s front-line service delivery, data collection, and training programs.

The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the Victim Services team to improve service delivery as well as to provide direct supports to victims and survivors of human trafficking.

Important tasks for the successful candidate include:

• Building capacity within program areas that address immediate and/or urgent needs of victims and survivors of human trafficking.

• Supporting the enhancement of safety protocols and supports available to survivors.

• Supporting the assessment of current frontline service trends and gaps.
